Dialysis Technician

Kiran Multi Super Speciality Hospital & Research Center is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Dialysis Technician to operate dialysis equipment and provide safe, effective, and high-quality renal care to patients undergoing hemodialysis. The involves preparing dialysis machines, monitoring patients during treatment, and ensuring strict adherence to clinical protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up dialysis machines and related equipment before each procedure.
• Verify machine functionality, calibration, and safety checks prior to use.
• Assist in cannulation and vascular access care under supervision of medical staff.
• Monitor patients continuously during dialysis sessions for vital signs and complications.
• Record pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis parameters accurately in patient records.
• Administer dialysis treatment as per prescribed nephrologist instructions.
• Ensure proper infection control practices and maintain aseptic conditions.
• Observe patients for adverse reactions and report immediately to doctors/nurses.
• Manage and maintain dialysis consumables such as dialyzers, tubing, and solutions.
• Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of dialysis machines after each session.
• Maintain accurate documentation of dialysis procedures and patient details.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff for patient care planning.
• Educate patients and attendants about dialysis procedures and post-care precautions.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of biomedical waste as per guidelines.
• Assist in emergency response situations during dialysis complications.
• Monitor water treatment systems and ensure quality compliance for dialysis safety.
• Support routine maintenance and troubleshooting of dialysis equipment.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, and renal care standards.
• Maintain inventory of dialysis supplies and report shortages promptly.
• Participate in training programs and continuous skill development activities.
