Pharmacist

The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications as per prescriptions, managing pharmacy inventory, ensuring drug safety, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately as per doctor’s prescription.

• Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory, including stock levels and storage conditions.
• Monitor expiry dates, batch numbers, and quality of medicines.
• Ensure procurement of medicines from authorized vendors.
• Maintain proper documentation of drug dispensing and stock records.
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication requirements.
• Handle billing and cash transactions related to pharmacy sales.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
• Manage receipt, storage, and distribution of medicines within the hospital.
• Process returns and ensure proper verification of unused medicines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
• Participate in audits and ensure readiness for inspections.
• Ensure safe handling of narcotic and high-risk medications as per policy.
• Support implementation of drug policies and safety protocols.
• Assist in managing emergency drug availability.
• Provide support during stock audits and inventory checks.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and medication records.
