Job Description
The Sr. Executive – Billing will be responsible for overseeing billing activities across OPD and IPD services, ensuring accurate charge capture, coordinating with departments for billing accuracy, and managing patient billing queries. The requires strong knowledge of hospital billing systems, attention to detail, and the ability to handle financial processes efficiently.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for OPD, IPD, and emergency services.
- Ensure accurate and timely generation of patient bills and invoices.
- Verify charges, services, and consumables before final bill preparation.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative departments for billing accuracy.
- Handle billing adjustments, corrections, and approvals as per policy.
- Ensure smooth and timely discharge billing and final settlements.
- Address patient queries and resolve billing-related concerns effectively.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all billing transactions.
- Monitor pending bills and ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate with TPA and insurance teams for billing-related requirements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and financial regulations.
- Assist in managing refunds and credit notes as per guidelines.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required billing data.
- Prepare MIS reports related to billing performance and revenue tracking.
- Monitor revenue leakage and implement corrective measures.
- Supervise junior billing staff and ensure process adherence.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, NABH standards, and quality protocols.
- Contribute to process improvements for billing efficiency and accuracy.
- Support overall financial operations and revenue cycle management.
