Job Description

Senior Clinical Associate - Vascular Surgery is responsible for supporting senior vascular surgeons in advanced patient care, surgical planning, perioperative monitoring, documentation, team coordination, and clinical workflow supervision. The requires MBBS with MD or DNB qualification and 0 to 5 years of experience. Candidates should have strong understanding of vascular surgery, general surgery, wound care, patient monitoring, and multidisciplinary hospital care.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Support vascular surgery consultants in complex OPD, IPD, and surgical cases.
  • Conduct detailed clinical assessment and maintain accurate patient documentation.
  • Monitor pre-operative and post-operative vascular surgery patients.
  • Review Doppler, CT angiography, imaging, lab reports, and clinical progress updates.
  • Assist in treatment planning for diabetic foot, peripheral vascular disease, venous disorders, and vascular trauma.
  • Coordinate surgical preparation, consent documentation, admission, transfer, and discharge workflow.
  • Work closely with OT, ICU, anaesthesia, nursing, wound care, radiology, and laboratory teams.
  • Support wound evaluation, dressing plans, bedside procedures, and follow-up care.
  • Identify complications such as ischemia, bleeding, infection, swelling, graft issues, or sudden deterioration.
  • Guide junior associates, assistants, and support staff in daily clinical tasks.
  • Maintain prescriptions, progress notes, operative support records, and discharge summaries.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and attendants regarding instructions under consultant guidance.
  • Follow infection control, surgical safety, patient safety, and documentation standards.
  • Participate in departmental audits, case discussions, clinical teaching, and quality improvement.
  • Deliver ethical, organized, and patient-focused vascular surgery clinical support.
