Paediatric- NICU - RMO

Paediatric - NICU RMO is responsible for supporting newborn and paediatric patient care, NICU monitoring, emergency response, consultant coordination, and clinical documentation. The requires MBBS and DCH qualification with 2 to 4 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of neonatal care, paediatric assessment, NICU workflow, emergency stabilization, infection control, and family communication.

Role & Responsibilities

• Attend NICU, paediatric ward, and emergency paediatric patients.
• Monitor newborns, infants, and children under consultant supervision.
• Check vital signs, oxygen support, feeding tolerance, and clinical condition.
• Assist paediatricians and neonatologists during rounds and procedures.
• Support neonatal resuscitation and emergency stabilization when required.
• Review lab reports, imaging reports, and treatment updates.
• Maintain accurate NICU notes, prescriptions, progress records, and patient files.
• Coordinate with nurses, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and support departments.
• Support admission, transfer, discharge, and referral processes.
• Counsel parents regarding basic care instructions and follow-up needs.
• Ensure prescribed medicines and treatment orders are followed properly.
• Follow infection control, newborn safety, and NICU protocols.
• Participate in shift handover with complete patient details.
• Report critical patient changes immediately to senior doctors.
• Deliver compassionate, alert, and patient-centered paediatric care.
