IT Manager

IT Manager is responsible for managing hospital IT systems, HIMS operations, infrastructure, software support, cybersecurity, user access, data security, and technology workflow across departments. The requires B.Sc IT, M.Sc IT, MCA, or MBA qualification with 4 to 8 years of experience. Candidates should have strong knowledge of hospital IT systems, software implementation, network management, troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and digital operations.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage complete hospital IT operations, systems, software, and infrastructure.
• Supervise HIMS operations and ensure smooth digital workflow across departments.
• Monitor network, servers, hardware, software, printers, and user support activities.
• Coordinate with software vendors, IT service providers, and internal teams.
• Ensure system uptime for billing, registration, pharmacy, lab, ward, and admin workflows.
• Manage user access control, password discipline, data privacy, and cybersecurity practices.
• Plan IT upgrades, system improvements, and digital process enhancements.
• Supervise IT staff and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, service records, AMC documents, and support logs.
• Support data backup, antivirus, firewall, and disaster recovery practices.
• Train users on hospital software usage and system protocols.
• Prepare IT reports, issue trackers, and management updates.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of patient and hospital data.
• Support audits and compliance documentation related to IT systems.

Guru Nanak Hospital & Research Centre was established under the aegis of Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Ranchi. In January 1997, a dedicated committee was formed to begin the development of the hospital with the objective of providing quality healthcare services to the people of the region.
