Job Description

The Billing Executive (IPD & OPD) will oversee billing, invoicing, and payment processing, ensuring timely and error-free transactions. This requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Generate accurate bills for IPD and OPD patients as per services rendered.
  • Verify patient details, services, and charges before final billing.
  • Handle advance collections, deposits, and final bill settlements.
  • Coordinate with clinical departments to ensure all services are billed correctly.
  • Process insurance and TPA billing documentation as required.
  • Ensure timely submission of bills for insurance claims and reimbursements.
  • Maintain billing records, reports, and documentation accurately.
  • Handle cash, card, and digital payments and ensure proper reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with accounts for daily cash and transaction reconciliation.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and address patient queries professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital billing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
  • Support discharge process by ensuring timely preparation of final bills.
  • Follow up on pending payments and outstanding dues.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly billing reports.
  • Ensure proper coding andification of services for billing accuracy.
  • Assist in audits and ensure billing records are audit-ready.
  • Coordinate with TPA/corporate desk for cashless and reimbursement cases.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of pricing, packages, and billing systems.
  • Ensure minimal billing errors and improve billing efficiency.
  • Handle refunds, adjustments, and credit notes as per policy.
  • Maintain discipline, professionalism, and customer service standards.
  • Work efficiently in shifts and manage workload during peak hours.
  • Coordinate with front desk and operations for smooth patient flow.
  • Contribute to improving revenue cycle management and collections.
