OPD Asst Cum Technician

The OPD Assistant Cum Technician will be responsible for assisting consultants during patient consultations, maintaining readiness of OPD chambers, and supporting basic diagnostic procedures when required. The involves ensuring quick patient handling (TAT), preparing patients for consultations, and maintaining service quality standards. The candidate will also assist radiology and cardiology procedures as needed, ensure proper inventory management, and handle emergency situations efficiently while adhering to SOPs and safety protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist consultants during OPD consultations and clinical examinations.
• Ensure fastest possible TAT for patient consultations and smooth patient flow.
• Prepare OPD chambers before consultations, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Maintain high standards of quality while assisting doctors and handling patients.
• Provide support in basic procedures such as ECG when required.
• Assist MRI/CT/X-ray technicians, including preparation and contrast administration under supervision.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and explain processes briefly.
• Accompany and assist female patients when required, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain proper documentation and patient records during consultations.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, clinical protocols, and safety guidelines.
• Manage and update inventory, including receiving and tracking consumables in the system.
• Coordinate with different departments for smooth patient movement and service delivery.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and organization of OPD chambers.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any concerns to consultants promptly.
• Handle emergency situations efficiently and assist medical teams as needed.
• Ensure proper handling and usage of medical equipment.
• Support administrative and coordination tasks within the OPD.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethics at all times.
• Participate in training and continuous skill development programs.
• Provide courteous assistance to patients and ensure a positive experience.
