Neuro Technician

The Neuro Technician will be responsible for performing and assisting in neurodiagnostic procedures such as EEG, EMG, NCV, and other related tests while maintaining high standards of quality and patient safety. The involves preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and ensuring comfort throughout the test. The candidate will focus on achieving quick turnaround times (TAT), maintaining accuracy in reports, and ensuring the department is always ready for routine and emergency cases.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform neurodiagnostic tests such as EEG, EMG, NCV, evoked potentials, and related procedures.
• Ensure fastest possible TAT for all tests and support reporting within defined timelines (e.g., within 2 hours).
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process clearly to ensure cooperation and comfort.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in all neurodiagnostic tests.
• Position patients correctly and monitor them throughout procedures.
• Adhere strictly to SOPs, clinical protocols, and safety guidelines.
• Ensure proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of neurodiagnostic equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and overall housekeeping of the neurodiagnostic department.
• Ensure readiness of the department for routine and emergency cases at all times.
• Handle emergency situations efficiently and provide immediate support to medical teams.
• Record and maintain accurate patient data, test results, and reports.
• Coordinate with neurologists and other departments for smooth workflow and timely reporting.
• Manage inventory, receive consumables in the system, and ensure adequate stock availability.
• entify abnormal findings and escalate critical cases promptly to doctors.
• Ensure patient safety and follow all clinical and operational safety protocols.
• Participate in quality control, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Handle patient queries and provide support throughout the diagnostic process.
• Ensure confidentiality of patient information and maintain professional ethics.
