Job Description
The Cardiology Technician will be responsible for performing and assisting in a range of cardiac diagnostic procedures including ECG, TMT, Holter monitoring, PFT, and ECHO. The involves preparing patients for tests, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout. The candidate will focus on maintaining quick turnaround times (TAT), ensuring high-quality standards in all procedures, and keeping the department fully operational and ready at all times.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiology diagnostic tests including ECG, TMT, Holter monitoring, PFT, and assist in ECHO procedures.
- Ensure fastest possible TAT for all tests and support reporting within defined timelines.
- Prepare patients for procedures and clearly explain the process to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all cardiology tests and procedures.
- Adhere strictly to SOPs, clinical protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper positioning and monitoring of patients during diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and overall housekeeping of the cardiology department.
- Ensure readiness of equipment and department for routine and emergency cases.
- Handle emergency situations efficiently and provide immediate support to medical teams.
- Monitor and maintain cardiology equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
- Record and maintain accurate patient data, test results, and reports.
- Coordinate with cardiologists and other departments for smooth workflow and timely reporting.
- Manage inventory, receive consumables in the system, and ensure adequate stock availability.
- Assist inentifying abnormalities and escalate critical findings promptly.
- Ensure patient safety and follow all clinical and operational safety protocols.
- Participate in quality control, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide patient support, address queries, and maintain a professional approach.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information and maintain ethical standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in cardiology diagnostics and technology.
- Support team coordination and contribute to efficient departmental operations.
