Pharmacist

Role & Responsibilities:

• Dispense medicines accurately according to doctor prescriptions and hospital pharmacy guidelines.
• Verify prescription details including medicine name, dosage, frequency, quantity, and patient information.
• Explain medicine usage, dosage timing, storage instructions, and precautions to patients when required.
• Maintain proper stock levels of medicines, injections, surgical items, and pharmacy consumables.
• Check expiry dates, batch numbers, storage conditions, and physical quality of medicines regularly.
• Manage purchase entries, stock updates, billing, returns, and pharmacy documentation accurately.
• Coordinate with doctors and nurses for medicine availability, substitutes, and urgent requirements.
• Ensure high-alert drugs, emergency medicines, and cold-chain items are stored safely.
• Maintain pharmacy cleanliness, organization, labeling, and compliance with safety standards.
• Handle patient queries related to medicine availability, dosage clarification, and pharmacy billing.
• Prepare daily stock reports, expiry reports, shortage lists, and purchase requirement updates.
