Consultant - Pulmonology

The Consultant - Pulmonology will provide respiratory medicine consultation, diagnosis, critical care support, pulmonary disease management, patient monitoring, and clinical coordination at Shreyas Multispeciality Hospital, Kolhapur. This requires MD or DNB Pulmonary Medicine qualification preferred with 0–1 year of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Consult patients with cough, breathlessness, asthma, COPD, pneumonia, tuberculosis, sleep-related breathing issues, and respiratory infections.
• Assess respiratory symptoms, oxygen requirement, pulmonary function, imaging reports, and clinical condition.
• Manage OPD, IPD, ICU, emergency, and referred respiratory patients.
• Support oxygen therapy, nebulization plans, ventilator-related respiratory care, and critical care coordination.
• Review chest X-ray, CT chest, PFT, ABG, lab reports, and treatment response.
• Coordinate with ICU, emergency, nursing, radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, and respiratory therapy teams.
• Counsel patients regarding diagnosis, medicines, inhaler technique, breathing exercises, lifestyle care, and follow-up.
• Maintain consultation notes, prescriptions, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and escalate critical patients promptly.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, respiratory care protocols, and documentation standards.
• Support preventive respiratory care and patient awareness.
• Deliver safe, timely, and patient-centered pulmonology services.
