Job Description

Monilek Hospital & Research Centre, Jaipur is hiring an experienced NICU Nursing Officer to provide specialized nursing care to newborns and critically ill neonates. The requires strong knowledge of neonatal care, infection control, patient monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response. The candidate should be capable of working in a fast-paced NICU environment while supporting doctors, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring safe, compassionate care for newborn patients.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to newborns admitted in the NICU.
  • Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, feeding patterns, and clinical condition of neonates.
  • Assist doctors during neonatal procedures, examinations, and emergency care.
  • Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, injections, and treatments safely.
  • Maintain strict infection control and hygiene protocols inside the NICU.
  • Handle neonatal equipment such as incubators, warmers, monitors, and infusion pumps.
  • Observe and report any sudden change in the newborns condition to the concerned doctor.
  • Support feeding care, kangaroo mother care, and basic newborn handling practices.
  • Maintain accurate nursing records, medication charts, intake-output records, and progress notes.
  • Educate parents about newborn care, feeding, hygiene, and follow-up instructions.
  • Coordinate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare team members.
  • Ensure proper handover of patient status during shift changes.
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and emotional support for families.
  • Follow hospital protocols, nursing standards, and emergency response guidelines.
  • Participate in quality care practices and continuous improvement of NICU services.
