Job Description

Monilek Hospital & Research Centre, Jaipur is seeking an experienced LDR Nursing Officer to support mothers during labour, delivery, and recovery care. The requires strong knowledge of obstetric nursing, maternal monitoring, newborn support, medication administration, infection control, and emergency preparedness. The candidate should be compassionate, clinically alert, and able to work closely with gynecologists and the maternity care team to ensure safe delivery and recovery.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients in labour, delivery, and recovery areas.
  • Monitor maternal vital signs, labour progress, fetal condition, and patient comfort.
  • Assist gynecologists and doctors during normal delivery and emergency obstetric procedures.
  • Prepare labour room, delivery instruments, medicines, and required equipment.
  • Administer prescribed medicines, injections, IV fluids, and labour-related treatments safely.
  • Support mothers emotionally and physically during labour and delivery.
  • Provide immediate newborn care after delivery as per hospital protocol.
  • Maintain proper infection control, aseptic practices, and labour room hygiene.
  • Record labour progress, medication details, delivery notes, and nursing observations accurately.
  • Identify warning signs in mother or baby and report immediately to the doctor.
  • Assist in patient shifting, recovery monitoring, and post-delivery care.
  • Educate mothers and attendants about breastfeeding, hygiene, newborn care, and postnatal instructions.
  • Coordinate with doctors, pediatric team, OT team, and other hospital departments when required.
  • Ensure proper handover of maternity patients during shift changes.
  • Maintain patient privacy, dignity, safety, and compassionate maternal care.
