Diagnostics and Allied Staff

The Diagnostics and Allied Staff will support diagnostic services, laboratory sample handling, patient preparation, test coordination, report documentation, and allied healthcare workflow at GBL Barala Hospital, Chomu. This requires DMLT or B.Sc MLT qualification with minimum 1 year of diagnostic or laboratory experience. The candidate should have basic knowledge of sample collection, lab safety, diagnostic coordination, and patient service.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, label, and process patient samples as per laboratory SOPs.
• Support routine diagnostic testing and allied healthcare service activities.
• Verify patient details, sample type, and test requests before processing.
• Maintain test records, sample registers, worksheets, and diagnostic documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, reception, sample collection, and reporting teams.
• Report sample mismatch, rejection, abnormal findings, or technical issues to seniors promptly.
• Follow biosafety, infection control, PPE, and biomedical waste management standards.
• Prepare basic lab materials, consumables, tubes, slides, and reagents as instructed.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline in diagnostic and laboratory work areas.
• Support report coordination and timely delivery of diagnostic results.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and test information.
• Ensure accurate, safe, and patient-friendly diagnostic support services.
