Technician - Blood Bank

Apollo Hospitals is seeking an experienced Blood Bank Technician to manage laboratory operations related to blood collection, testing, and storage. The involves operating specialized equipment, ensuring accurate documentation, and adhering to strict safety and regulatory protocols. The candidate will work closely with medical teams to ensure timely availability of safe blood products for patient care.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain blood bank equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, and other laboratory instruments
• Collect, label, process, and store blood samples from donors and patients following standard protocols
• Perform testing and screening of blood samples to ensure safety, compatibility, and quality
• Maintain accurate records of blood collection, testing, storage, and transfusion activities
• Ensure proper handling and storage conditions for blood and blood components
• Coordinate with doctors and healthcare teams to support timely transfusion requirements
• Follow all hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines related to blood bank operations
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the laboratory environment
