Technician

The Radiology Technician will support safe, accurate, and patient-friendly diagnostic imaging services. The candidate should be skilled in patient preparation, positioning, imaging support, equipment handling, radiation safety, image quality support, and documentation. This requires coordination with radiologists, doctors, nursing, emergency, ICU, billing, and patient care teams, especially for neuro and emergency diagnostic cases.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiology imaging support for X-ray, CT, MRI, and related diagnostic procedures as per department protocol.
• Prepare patients, explain procedure steps, and ensure correct positioning for imaging.
• Operate or assist with radiology equipment safely under departmental guidelines.
• Verify patient identity, investigation request, body part, and imaging instructions before procedure.
• Maintain radiation safety, MRI safety, patient privacy, comfort, and image quality standards.
• Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nurses, emergency, ICU, OPD, and patient care teams.
• Maintain imaging registers, patient records, equipment logs, and radiology documentation.
• Report equipment issues, image quality concerns, patient discomfort, or scan-related complications promptly.
• Support emergency imaging, inpatient movement, and priority scan coordination when required.
• Follow infection control, safety, and radiology department documentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging room and equipment.
• Deliver safe, accurate, and professional radiology diagnostic support.
