Pharmacist

The Pharmacist will ensure safe and accurate pharmacy services by verifying prescriptions, dispensing medicines correctly, maintaining stock records, monitoring expiry, and guiding patients on medication usage. The candidate should follow pharmacy regulations, hospital SOPs, medication safety standards, and proper storage guidelines for emergency, high-alert, temperature-sensitive, and routine medicines. This requires accuracy, ethical practice, patient-friendly communication, and coordination with doctors, nurses, billing, purchase, stores, and pharmacy teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines as per valid doctor prescriptions and hospital pharmacy policy.
• Verify medicine name, dose, quantity, expiry date, batch number, and billing details before issue.
• Guide patients and attendants on medicine usage, dosage timing, storage, precautions, and follow-up.
• Maintain pharmacy stock records, issue entries, purchase records, expiry records, and documentation.
• Monitor expiry, near-expiry, shortage, damaged stock, fast-moving medicines, and reorder requirements.
• Arrange medicines properly with correct labeling, storage, and traceability.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, purchase, stores, and pharmacy team.
• Maintain proper storage of emergency, high-alert, and temperature-sensitive medicines.
• Support stock audit, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy reporting.
• Follow pharmacy regulations, hospital SOPs, and medication safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, confidentiality, and professional pharmacy communication.
• Ensure safe, accurate, ethical, and patient-friendly pharmacy service delivery.
