Job Description
The Safety Physician will be responsible for medical review of safety cases, adverse event assessment, clinical interpretation, causality review, seriousness assessment, and pharmacovigilance medical support at Syneos Health, Hyderabad. This requires 1–4 years of experience in medical review, clinical practice, drug safety, and pharmacovigilance, with strong medical judgment and regulatory awareness.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform medical review of adverse event and serious adverse event cases.
- Assess causality, seriousness, expectedness, and clinical relevance of safety cases.
- Review case narratives, medical history, lab data, treatment details, and outcomes.
- Provide medical input for ICSR case processing and safety documentation.
- Identify medically important events, safety trends, and potential signal concerns.
- Coordinate with PV specialists, safety teams, quality reviewers, and clients.
- Support preparation of medically accurate case narratives and follow-up questions.
- Ensure safety case review complies with regulatory timelines and pharmacovigilance standards.
- Provide clinical interpretation for complex or medically sensitive cases.
- Support aggregate reports, signal detection, and risk management activities when assigned.
- Participate in safety review meetings, quality discussions, and process improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient, product, and safety information.
- Support audit readiness and regulatory inspection preparation.
- Ensure accurate, ethical, and medically sound drug safety review.
