Security Officer

The Security Officer will manage hospital security operations, visitor control, entry and exit monitoring, emergency support, incident reporting, safety coordination, and security team supervision at Gleneagles Hospital, Chennai. This requires any degree qualification with 3–5 years of security or facility management experience. There are 2 vacancies for this position.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor hospital entry, exit, visitor movement, vehicle movement, and restricted areas.
• Supervise security guards and ensure duty discipline, grooming, and alertness.
• Maintain visitor logs, staff movement records, incident reports, and security documentation.
• Support crowd control, patient movement, ambulance access, and emergency response activities.
• Coordinate with facility management, administration, nursing, front office, and maintenance teams.
• Handle security incidents, suspicious activity, conflicts, and safety concerns professionally.
• Ensure safety of patients, attendants, staff, doctors, assets, and hospital property.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, parking area, and emergency exits as per hospital policy.
• Support fire safety drills, disaster response, and evacuation coordination when required.
• Report security breaches, maintenance issues, or unsafe conditions to seniors promptly.
• Follow hospital safety SOPs, confidentiality, and patient-friendly behavior standards.
• Ensure secure, disciplined, and safe hospital environment.
