Billing and Insurance Senior Executive

The Billing and Insurance Senior Executive will be responsible for managing hospital billing, insurance documentation, TPA coordination, claim processing, and patient financial support. This requires strong experience in hospital billing and insurance operations, attention to detail, and knowledge of cashless and reimbursement workflows. The candidate will ensure accurate billing, timely claim submission, proper documentation, and smooth coordination between patients, insurers, finance, and hospital departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage hospital billing and insurance processes for OPD, IPD, emergency, and diagnostic services.
• Prepare and verify patient bills, package details, discounts, approvals, and final settlement documents.
• Coordinate with insurance companies, TPAs, corporates, and patients for claim-related requirements.
• Process cashless pre-authorizations, query responses, claim submissions, and discharge approvals.
• Review medical documents, investigation reports, treatment details, and billing records before submission.
• Ensure accurate tariff application, package billing, service posting, and payment reconciliation.
• Resolve patient billing and insurance queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Track pending approvals, rejected claims, short payments, and outstanding insurance cases.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing, pharmacy, diagnostics, and finance teams for billing clearance.
• Maintain insurance files, claim records, authorization documents, and communication trackers.
• Prepare daily insurance reports, billing summaries, pending claim updates, and MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, payer requirements, and documentation standards.
• Identify billing errors, claim gaps, and revenue leakage risks for corrective action.
• Support audit requirements by maintaining accurate billing and insurance records.
• Contribute to faster discharge billing, improved claim settlement, and better patient experience.
