Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are looking for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Nuclear Medicine department at Manipal Hospitals, Bengaluru. The candidate will support PET and nuclear medicine imaging procedures, radiation safety, patient preparation, equipment handling, and documentation. The requires nuclear medicine technology knowledge, radiation safety awareness, technical skill, and patient care ability.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist in nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures as per department protocols.
• Prepare patients for nuclear medicine scans and explain procedure requirements.
• Support safe handling and coordination of radiopharmaceuticals under supervision.
• Operate nuclear medicine equipment following approved safety guidelines.
• Follow radiation protection standards for patients, staff, and working areas.
• Maintain accurate patient records, scan details, and procedure documentation.
• Coordinate with nuclear medicine physicians, radiologists, physicists, and nurses.
• Perform basic equipment readiness checks and quality control documentation.
• Monitor patients during imaging and report discomfort or complications.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and timely completion of imaging services.
• Maintain radioactive material records, storage, and disposal documentation as required.
• Ensure imaging areas are clean, safe, and ready for procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety, and patient confidentiality standards.
• Stay updated with nuclear medicine procedures, safety norms, and technical practices.
