Staff Nurse / Senior Staff Nurse – Ward

The Staff Nurse / Senior Staff Nurse – Ward will be responsible for managing patient care in wards, assisting doctors, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. This requires strong clinical knowledge, empathy, and the ability to work efficiently in a hospital environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provideect nursing care to patients including assessment, planning, and implementation of care.
• Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress regularly.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist doctors during rounds, examinations, and medical procedures.
• Ensure proper patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care as required.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care instructions.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in ward areas.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for effective patient management.
• Monitor patient recovery and report any changes to the medical team.
• Ensure proper biomedical waste disposal as per guidelines.
• Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and guide junior nursing staff (for seniors).
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Work in rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain professionalism, empathy, and patient-centric approach.
• Participate in training, workshops, and continuous learning programs.
