Staff Nurse - ICU is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in intensive care settings. The requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0 to 5 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of ICU nursing, critical care monitoring, emergency medicine, patient care, administration, GNM practices, ERP systems, and accurate clinical documentation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide ICU nursing care to critically ill and high-dependency patients.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen support, ventilator status, and patient condition.
- Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and critical care treatments safely.
- Assist doctors during ICU rounds, procedures, and emergency interventions.
- Maintain accurate ICU nursing notes, medication charts, and patient records.
- Observe patient changes and report critical findings immediately.
- Support emergency medicine and resuscitation activities when required.
- Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, transfers, and discharge from ICU.
- Follow infection control, hygiene, biomedical waste, and ICU safety protocols.
- Handle ICU equipment, monitors, infusion pumps, and emergency supplies responsibly.
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians, pharmacy, lab, and support teams.
- Maintain proper handover during shift changes with complete patient updates.
- Use hospital ERP or Microsoft Dynamics Navision for records when required.
- Educate attendants about ICU rules and basic patient care communication.
- Deliver alert, compassionate, and patient-centered critical care nursing.
