Medical Officer

The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing clinical care, patient assessment, emergency response, diagnosis support, and treatment coordination in the hospital. This requires MBBS qualification, sound clinical judgment, patient monitoring skills, and coordination with consultants, nurses, and diagnostic teams. The candidate will manage routine and emergency cases, maintain accurate medical documentation, and ensure timely, ethical, and patient-centered healthcare delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations, clinical assessments, and initial medical evaluations.
• Provide immediate medical care for OPD, IPD, emergency, and admitted patients as per hospital protocols.
• Assist consultants in patient management, ward rounds, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
• Monitor patient vitals, clinical condition, treatment response, and ongoing medical requirements.
• Prescribe medicines, investigations, and supportive care within approved clinical authority.
• Identify critical changes in patient condition and escalate promptly to senior consultants.
• Coordinate with nursing, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and specialist teams for patient care.
• Maintain accurate case sheets, progress notes, treatment charts, and discharge-related documentation.
• Explain treatment plans, clinical updates, and care instructions to patients and attendants professionally.
• Attend emergency calls, code situations, and urgent clinical requirements during assigned duty hours.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
• Support admission, transfer, referral, and discharge processes when clinically required.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow ethical medical practices.
• Complete medico-legal documentation and reporting requirements when applicable.
• Contribute to smooth clinical workflow, quality care, and improved patient outcomes.
