Pharmacist

Job Description:

GCS Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is seeking a Pharmacist to join their dynamic team and support safe and effective medication management within the hospital. The involves dispensing medicines, ensuring compliance with pharmacy standards, and contributing to optimal patient care through accurate pharmaceutical practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with doctor’s instructions
• Provide patients with guidance on dosage, usage, and potential side effects of medicines
• Maintain and monitor inventory levels to ensure availability of required drugs and supplies
• Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication therapy and prescriptions
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and report any discrepancies or interactions
• Monitor and document patient responses to medications and report adverse reactions
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines as per regulatory guidelines
• Maintain detailed and updated records of dispensing, stock, and patient medication history
• Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and pharmacy regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
