Bio Medical Engineer

Kaizen Hospital is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bio Medical Engineer to manage, maintain, and ensure the optimal performance of medical equipment across the hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for equipment installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment such as monitors, ventilators, imaging systems, and diagnostic devices
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and safety checks to ensure equipment reliability and performance
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted clinical operations
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment servicing, AMC/CMC management, and procurement
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance logs, and service history
• Ensure compliance with biomedical safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and hospital protocols
• Support clinical staff in the proper usage and handling of medical equipment
• Participate in equipment evaluation, selection, and procurement processes
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or replacements when necessary
• Assist in audits, accreditation processes (such as NABH), and documentation requirements
• Ensure proper disposal and management of biomedical waste as per guidelines
• Provide training to hospital staff on equipment handling and safety practices
