Manager on Duty

The Manager on Duty will be responsible for managing hospital operations during assigned shifts and ensuring smooth coordination between departments. This involves handling patient concerns, monitoring service delivery, resolving operational issues, coordinating emergency requirements, and maintaining hospital standards during duty hours. The candidate should have strong communication, quick decision-making ability, hospital workflow knowledge, and the ability to manage real-time operational challenges professionally.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage hospital operations during assigned duty hours and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Coordinate with clinical, nursing, billing, front office, housekeeping, security, and support teams.
• Handle patient and attendant concerns, complaints, and service-related escalations professionally.
• Monitor patient flow, admissions, discharges, emergency cases, and departmental coordination.
• Ensure hospital policies, service standards, safety rules, and operational protocols are followed.
• Respond to urgent operational issues and coordinate immediate resolution with relevant teams.
• Support emergency situations by coordinating manpower, departments, and required resources.
• Conduct hospital rounds to check cleanliness, staff availability, patient service, and facility readiness.
• Maintain shift reports, incident records, complaint logs, and operational handover notes.
• Escalate critical issues to senior management or department heads when required.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing supervisors, and administrative teams for patient care support.
• Monitor support services such as housekeeping, security, transport, and maintenance during duty hours.
• Ensure visitors and attendants follow hospital rules, access controls, and safety guidelines.
• Support smooth communication between departments during high-pressure or peak-hour situations.
