Associate Consultant Emergency is responsible for managing emergency medicine cases, critical care situations, patient diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment planning in the emergency department. The requires MD or DNB Emergency Medicine preferred qualification with 0 to 5 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of emergency medicine, critical care, diagnosis, patient care, clinical decision-making, and emergency department workflow.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assess and manage emergency department patients promptly.
- Provide initial diagnosis, stabilization, and emergency treatment.
- Handle trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and medical emergencies.
- Coordinate with ICU, surgery, medicine, anesthesia, and specialty teams.
- Supervise emergency procedures and critical care interventions.
- Review investigations, imaging, and laboratory reports for clinical decisions.
- Maintain accurate emergency case records and medical documentation.
- Support CPR, code blue, airway management, and resuscitation cases.
- Counsel patients and attendants during emergency care situations.
- Decide patient admission, transfer, observation, or referral under hospital protocols.
- Ensure emergency department patient safety and infection control compliance.
- Coordinate with nurses, technicians, and support teams for fast patient care.
- Participate in emergency audits, clinical discussions, and training programs.
- Follow ethical, evidence-based, and timely emergency medicine practices.
- Deliver calm, accurate, and patient-centered emergency care.
