OT Technician

Skilled OT Technician responsible for preparing operation theaters, sterilizing surgical instruments, and assisting surgical teams during procedures. Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operation theater for surgical procedures and emergency cases.
• Sterilize surgical instruments and ensure aseptic conditions.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical operations.
• Arrange surgical instruments, consumables, and OT equipment.
• Monitor functioning of OT equipment and report technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols.
• Assist in patient positioning and OT preparation activities.
• Maintain OT records and surgical inventory documentation.
• Coordinate with CSSD and clinical departments for instrument requirements.
• Handle biomedical waste disposal according to safety guidelines.
• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of operation theater areas.
• Support emergency surgeries and critical care procedures.
• Monitor stock levels of OT consumables and supplies.
• Follow SOPs related to OT safety and surgical support.
• Participate in quality improvement and infection prevention activities.
