Job Description

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, assisting medical professionals, and ensuring proper patient management. This requires strong clinical knowledge, empathy, and the ability to work efficiently in a healthcare environment.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provideect patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress.
  • Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and medical interventions.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
  • Assist in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient care areas.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and critical situations.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for effective patient care.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to doctors.
  • Ensure proper biomedical waste management as per guidelines.
  • Participate in shift handovers for continuity of care.
  • Follow hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
  • Work in rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous professional development.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
  • Contribute to improving patient outcomes and healthcare quality.
