Lab Technician

The Lab Technician will be responsible for handling clinical samples, performing diagnostic tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring adherence to NABL standards and SOPs. The requires strong technical expertise, accuracy, and the ability to maintain quality and turnaround time in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform processing and analysis of samples in Biochemistry and Immunoassay departments.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and processing as per defined SOPs.
• Maintain strict adherence to NABL guidelines and laboratory quality standards.
• Conduct routine and specialized diagnostic tests with accuracy and precision.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory activities.
• Maintain documentation, filing, and recording of all laboratory reports and data.
• Ensure timely reporting and adherence to Turnaround Time (TAT) standards.
• Perform internal Quality Control (QC) and assist in external quality assurance programs.
• Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment in proper working condition.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of instruments as required.
• Follow strict safety guidelines and infection control protocols in the lab.
• Handle multiple tasks efficiently and support various lab functions when required.
• Assist in sample storage, retrieval, and disposal as per laboratory policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laboratory environment.
• Coordinate with doctors and departments for sample-related clarifications.
• Ensure accuracy in data entry and reporting of test results.
• Support audits and inspections by maintaining proper records and compliance.
• entify and report any deviations or abnormalities in test results or processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes and quality systems.
• Perform any additional laboratory duties assigned by management.
