Job Description

IT Officer is responsible for supporting hospital IT systems, HIMS management, user support, troubleshooting, hardware and software coordination, data security, and smooth digital operations. The requires B.Sc IT qualification with 2 to 5 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of HIMS management, IT support, system troubleshooting, network basics, and hospital technology workflows.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and support hospital information management system operations.
  • Provide user support for HIMS, software, hardware, and basic network issues.
  • Coordinate with departments for IT complaints and timely issue resolution.
  • Support user login, access control, data entry issues, and software workflows.
  • Maintain IT assets, system records, service logs, and support documentation.
  • Coordinate with software vendors and technical teams when required.
  • Support installation and configuration of desktops, printers, scanners, and applications.
  • Monitor system uptime and escalate critical issues to seniors.
  • Support data backup, antivirus, security, and access control practices.
  • Train users on basic system usage and digital workflow requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital digital data.
  • Support report generation and HIMS-related operational needs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting billing, registration, pharmacy, lab, and ward system issues.
  • Follow hospital IT policies and cybersecurity guidelines.
  • Ensure smooth, secure, and reliable IT support for hospital operations.
