General Duty Assistant

The General Duty Assistant will support patient care assistance, patient movement, hygiene support, material movement, and daily ward assistance at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. This requires GDA or nursing assistant qualification with 1–6 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist nurses in basic patient care and daily ward support activities.
• Help in patient shifting, wheelchair movement, stretcher movement, and mobility assistance.
• Support patient hygiene, bed making, linen movement, and room readiness.
• Carry reports, samples, medicines, files, and hospital materials when required.
• Coordinate with nursing, housekeeping, pharmacy, lab, and patient care teams.
• Follow infection control, hygiene, safety, and biomedical waste instructions.
• Report patient needs or service delays to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and polite communication.
