Processing Executive - Billing

The Processing Executive – Billing will be responsible for handling billing data processing, verifying patient records, coordinating with departments for billing inputs, and ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions. The requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of hospital billing procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Process and verify billing data for OPD and IPD patients accurately.
• Ensure correct entry of services, procedures, and charges into the billing system.
• Coordinate with clinical departments to obtain complete billing information.
• Review patient records to ensure alignment between treatment and billing.
• Assist in preparing discharge bills and final settlements.
• Handle billing discrepancies, corrections, and adjustments.
• Coordinate with TPA/insurance teams for billing and claim documentation.
• Ensure timely submission of billing data for insurance and reimbursement cases.
• Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and documentation.
• Follow hospital billing policies, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist in tracking pending bills, payments, and claim status.
• Support audit processes by providing required billing data and reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
• Ensure proper documentation for medico-legal and insurance cases.
• Generate billing reports and MIS for management review.
• Coordinate with finance and accounts for reconciliation activities.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround time (TAT) for billing processes.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance billing efficiency.
• Provide support in handling patient billing queries when required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
