Medical Officer is responsible for managing ICU, ward, OPD, and emergency patients while supporting consultants and clinical teams in daily patient care. The requires MBBS with valid registration and 0 to 3 years of experience. Candidates should have knowledge of clinical care, ICU support, ward management, patient monitoring, and medical documentation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Attend patients in ICU, ward, OPD, and emergency areas.
- Assess patient condition and provide initial medical management.
- Assist consultants during rounds, procedures, and treatment planning.
- Monitor patient vitals, clinical progress, and treatment response.
- Maintain accurate medical records, progress notes, and prescriptions.
- Review investigation reports and communicate findings to consultants.
- Coordinate with nurses, technicians, and support departments.
- Handle emergency cases and provide timely stabilization support.
- Support admission, transfer, referral, and discharge processes.
- Explain basic treatment instructions to patients and attendants.
- Ensure medication orders and clinical instructions are implemented correctly.
- Participate in shift handovers and continuity of patient care.
- Follow infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Report critical clinical changes immediately to senior doctors.
- Maintain professional and ethical medical practice.
