Job Description

The Quality Officer will play a key in maintaining and enhancing quality standards across the hospital by ensuring adherence to protocols, conducting audits, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives. This requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of healthcare quality standards and accreditation processes.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor hospital-wide quality assurance and patient safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards such as NABH, JCI, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular internal audits, inspections, and quality assessments across departments.
  • Identify gaps in processes and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to improve clinical outcomes.
  • Facilitate documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and policy implementation.
  • Coordinate and support accreditation processes, audits, and external assessments.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control practices, safety protocols, and clinical guidelines.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to quality indicators and patient safety events.
  • Investigate incidents, adverse events, and patient complaints toentify root causes.
  • Conduct training sessions and awareness programs on quality standards and protocols.
  • Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement across all departments.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to implement quality initiatives.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audits, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor patient feedback and satisfaction levels toentify improvement areas.
  • Ensure compliance with biomedical waste management and safety standards.
  • Participate in risk management and patient safety programs.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management and relevant committees.
  • Assist in developing and updating policies, protocols, and quality manuals.
  • Ensure timely closure of audit findings and compliance gaps.
  • Support departmental quality improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational data.
  • Stay updated with latest healthcare quality standards and best practices.
  • Ensure coordination between departments for smooth implementation of quality measures.
  • Contribute to enhancing overall patient care standards and hospital performance.
