Staff Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients across ward, ICU, emergency, cardiac, and critical care departments. The requires GNM or B.Sc Nursing qualification with strong knowledge of patient care, medication administration, vital monitoring, emergency support, clinical documentation, and infection control. Candidates should be compassionate, alert, disciplined, and capable of working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to admitted, emergency, and critical care patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, condition, and treatment response.
- Administer medicines, injections, IV fluids, and prescribed treatments safely.
- Assist doctors during rounds, examinations, procedures, and emergency care.
- Maintain accurate nursing notes, medication charts, and patient care records.
- Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, transfers, and discharge.
- Follow infection control, hygiene, biomedical waste, and patient safety protocols.
- Educate patients and family members about medication, diet, and care instructions.
- Report patient condition changes or emergency signs to doctors immediately.
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians, ward staff, and support departments.
- Maintain ward supplies, emergency equipment, and nursing station readiness.
- Support admission, transfer, discharge, and handover processes.
- Ensure proper shift handover with complete patient updates.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical nursing standards.
- Deliver compassionate, disciplined, and patient-focused healthcare service.
