Cataract Surgeon - Ophthalmologist

The Cataract Surgeon - Ophthalmologist will diagnose cataract cases, perform cataract surgeries, manage pre-operative and post-operative care, and counsel patients at ASG Eye Hospital, Arrah. This requires MBBS with MS / MD Ophthalmology qualification and 3–8 years of experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients with cataract, blurred vision, glare, and age-related eye concerns.
• Review vision testing, slit lamp findings, IOL calculation, and pre-operative reports.
• Plan cataract surgery and lens options based on patient condition.
• Perform cataract surgery as per hospital protocol and safety standards.
• Monitor post-operative recovery, complications, medicines, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate with OT, optometry, nursing, counsellors, and front desk teams.
• Counsel patients regarding surgery, lens choice, precautions, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate clinical and surgical documentation.
