Job Description
The Inventory Executive will oversee inventory control processes, coordinate with procurement and departments, and ensure proper storage and distribution of materials. This requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of inventory management systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor inventory of medical supplies, drugs, consumables, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate stock records in inventory management systems.
- Ensure timely availability of materials across departments to avoid stock-outs.
- Track stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions when required.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely supply of materials.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and categorization of inventory items.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely utilization or disposal of near-expiry items.
- Conduct regular stock audits, physical verification, and reconciliation.
- Maintain records of stock movement, consumption, and usage trends.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and inventory control procedures.
- Coordinate with pharmacy, OT, wards, and other departments for supply requirements.
- Manage inventory documentation and maintain audit-ready records.
- Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock and take corrective actions.
- Ensure proper handling and storage conditions for sensitive items.
- Support cost control initiatives by optimizing inventory levels.
- Generate inventory reports, MIS, and stock analysis for management.
- Ensure proper documentation for returns, damages, and discrepancies.
- Assist in implementing inventory management systems and process improvements.
- Follow safety and hygiene standards in storage areas.
- Work closely with finance and accounts for stock valuation and reconciliation.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain discipline, accuracy, and accountability in inventory management.
- Contribute to efficient hospital operations through effective stock control.
