MRD Executive

The MRD Executive will be responsible for handling, organizing, and maintaining patient medical records in both physical and electronic formats. This requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical documentation, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage patient medical records (OPD, IPD, and emergency) in physical and digital formats.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient files including admission, treatment, and discharge summaries.
• Retrieve medical records promptly for doctors, audits, insurance, and legal purposes.
• Verify records for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation.
• Ensure proper filing, indexing, and secure storage of medical records.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information at all times.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and departments to collect missing or incomplete records.
• Ensure timely closure and submission of patient files after discharge.
• Assist in insurance and billing processes by providing required documentation.
• Maintain logs and tracking systems for record movement and retrieval.
• Support digitization and electronic medical record (EMR) system updates.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and legal regulations.
• Assist in handling medico-legal case documentation and records.
• Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage record retention, archiving, and disposal as per guidelines.
• Prepare reports related to documentation status and record management.
• Handle requests for medical records from patients and authorized parties.
• Ensure proper scanning, labeling, and uploading of documents.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of MRD storage areas.
• Coordinate with IT teams for smooth functioning of EMR systems.
• Participate in quality improvement and documentation enhancement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy and confidentiality standards.
