Job Description:
Zydus Hospitals is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to collect and handle patient samples with accuracy and care. The candidate will be responsible for blood collection, proper labeling, maintaining records, and ensuring safe transport of specimens while following infection control protocols.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples efficiently with minimal discomfort to patients
- Ensure correct patiententification before sample collection
- Label samples accurately using barcode systems and lab software
- Fill and manage lab requisition forms and data entries
- Handle and transport samples safely to the laboratory (including home collections)
- Operate lab systems such as pneumatic tube and centrifuge when required
- Maintain stock of collection materials and organize phlebotomy area
- Assist lab technicians in sample processing and retrieval
- Address basic patient queries and guide them regarding reports
- Maintain proper patient records (soft and hard copies)
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
- Handle reception tasks and calls when required
