Job Description
The Medical Officer will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients, managing clinical cases, and ensuring effective patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings. The involves conducting medical assessments, prescribing treatments, and coordinating with specialists when required. The candidate will also handle emergency cases, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and hospital standards. Strong clinical knowledge, decision-making ability, and a patient-centric approach are essential for this.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Examine patients, take detailed medical histories, and perform clinical assessments.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Provide care in OPD, IPD, and emergency settings as required.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care.
- Coordinate with consultants and specialists for advanced treatment and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Conduct ward rounds and ensure continuity of patient care.
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, guidelines, and safety standards.
- Assist in medical procedures and support senior doctors when required.
- Handle medico-legal cases and ensure proper documentation.
- Participate in health camps, awareness programs, and preventive healthcare initiatives.
- Collaborate with nursing and paramedical staff for coordinated care delivery.
- Ensure infection control practices and hygiene standards are followed.
- Participate in clinical audits, case discussions, and quality improvement programs.
- Stay updated with medical advancements and best practices.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards at all times.
- Work in rotational shifts, including night duties if required.
