Consultant-Rheumatologist

The Consultant Rheumatologist will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a wide range of rheumatic diseases, including arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune conditions. The involves conducting detailed clinical assessments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing individualized treatment plans. The candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, monitor treatment outcomes, and provide ongoing patient education. Strong clinical expertise, patient-centered care, and adherence to medical protocols are essential for this.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus, gout, and other autoimmune disorders.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.
• Interpret laboratory tests, imaging reports, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies.
• Prescribe and monitor medications such as DMARDs, biologics, and immunosuppressants.
• Perform joint injections and other minor rheumatologic procedures when required.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families about disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with other specialists such as orthopedists, physiotherapists, and general physicians for comprehensive care.
• Manage chronic cases and provide long-term follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and clinical documentation.
