The Senior Staff Nurse will be responsible for advanced nursing care, patient supervision, junior nurse guidance, medication safety, clinical documentation, and shift coordination at Nanavati Max Hospital, Mumbai. This requires GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or Post B.Sc Nursing qualification with 0–10 years of experience in nursing services, patient monitoring, clinical care, and hospital nursing operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in assigned clinical areas.
- Supervise and guide junior nurses, trainees, and support staff during daily duties.
- Monitor patient condition, vitals, medication response, and clinical progress.
- Administer prescribed medicines, IV fluids, injections, infusions, and nursing procedures safely.
- Assist doctors and consultants during rounds, procedures, and emergency care.
- Ensure accurate nursing documentation, medication charts, handovers, and patient records.
- Support admission, discharge, transfer, and patient movement coordination.
- Monitor infection control, biomedical waste, hand hygiene, and patient safety practices.
- Report critical changes, abnormal findings, or safety concerns to doctors and nursing supervisors.
- Maintain emergency trolley, ward equipment, medicines, and consumable readiness.
- Educate patients and relatives regarding basic nursing care and discharge instructions.
- Coordinate with pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, billing, and patient care teams.
- Support nursing audits, quality checks, and compliance activities when required.
- Maintain discipline, professional conduct, and compassionate patient communication.
- Ensure safe, timely, and patient-centered nursing service delivery.
