ER Technician

The ER Technician will support emergency room workflow, patient shifting, emergency equipment readiness, procedure assistance, basic clinical support, and emergency documentation at Bhaskaran Hospital, Kallakurichi. This requires alertness, quick response, and the ability to support emergency care teams efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist doctors and nurses in emergency patient receiving, assessment support, and stabilization workflow.
• Prepare emergency room equipment, oxygen, suction, monitors, stretchers, wheelchairs, and emergency trolley.
• Support patient shifting, positioning, wound care assistance, dressing support, and procedure preparation.
• Help in emergency investigations, sample transport, report follow-up, and departmental coordination.
• Maintain ER equipment checklists, emergency logs, patient movement records, and documentation support.
• Coordinate with emergency doctors, nursing, ICU, OT, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and ambulance teams.
• Respond quickly during code blue, trauma cases, and urgent patient movement requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness, readiness, and discipline in emergency care areas.
• Follow infection control, PPE, biomedical waste, and patient safety standards.
• Report equipment faults, supply shortages, or emergency concerns to seniors promptly.
• Support relatives and patients with basic guidance under hospital policy.
• Ensure fast, safe, and organized emergency room support.
