ECG Technician

The ECG Technician will perform ECG testing, patient preparation, report coordination, equipment maintenance, documentation, and diagnostic support at Bhaskaran Hospital, Kallakurichi. This requires attention to detail, patient-friendly communication, and timely support to clinical departments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform ECG tests for OPD, IPD, ICU, emergency, and assigned patients.
• Prepare patients properly and explain the ECG procedure in simple language.
• Verify patient details, doctor request, and clinical indication before testing.
• Place ECG leads correctly and ensure proper tracing quality.
• Maintain ECG machine, electrodes, gel, paper rolls, and accessories in ready condition.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, emergency, ICU, OPD, and reporting teams.
• Maintain ECG registers, test logs, patient records, and documentation.
• Report abnormal or urgent ECG findings to doctors or seniors promptly.
• Clean and disinfect ECG leads and equipment after use.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and confidentiality during testing.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital diagnostic protocols.
