Echo Technician

The Echo Technician will support echocardiography procedures, patient preparation, cardiac imaging assistance, equipment handling, documentation, and cardiology coordination at Bhaskaran Hospital, Kallakurichi. This requires technical knowledge, patient care skills, and accurate diagnostic support.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for echocardiography and cardiac diagnostic procedures.
• Assist cardiologists or doctors during echo examinations and related workflow.
• Verify patient details, investigation request, clinical history, and preparation requirements.
• Operate or assist with echo machine setup, probes, accessories, and reporting support.
• Support image capture, patient positioning, and procedure documentation as per protocol.
• Maintain echo logs, patient records, equipment records, and department documentation.
• Coordinate with cardiology, OPD, IPD, ICU, emergency, nursing, and billing teams.
• Clean and disinfect probes, machine, and procedure area after every use.
• Report urgent findings, equipment issues, or technical concerns to seniors promptly.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality during procedures.
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and hospital diagnostic SOPs.
• Ensure smooth, timely, and professional echo technical support.
