The Pharmacist will manage hospital pharmacy dispensing, medicine inventory, prescription verification, pharmacovigilance support, patient counselling, and pharmacy documentation at Fortis Hospitals, Hyderabad. This requires D.Pharm or B.Pharm qualification with 0–3 years of experience in pharmacy, pharma, pharmaceutical services, medicine, inventory, and pharmacovigilance.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions and dispense medicines safely according to hospital pharmacy policy.
- Verify medicine name, dose, quantity, route, expiry, batch number, and patient details before issue.
- Provide patient guidance on medicine dosage, timing, storage, precautions, and follow-up requirements.
- Maintain pharmacy stock entries, issue records, medicine returns, expiry records, and inventory reports.
- Track medicine shortages, near-expiry items, damaged stock, fast-moving products, and reorder needs.
- Arrange medicines with proper labeling, safe storage, temperature control, and traceability.
- Coordinate with nursing, doctors, billing, purchase, stores, and pharmacy team for timely medicine supply.
- Support stock audit, inventory reconciliation, and pharmacy documentation compliance.
- Follow safe handling practices for emergency, high-alert, refrigerated, and specialty medicines.
- Report adverse drug reactions, medication incidents, or pharmacovigilance observations as per protocol.
- Maintain pharmacy hygiene, patient confidentiality, and professional communication.
- Ensure reliable, accurate, and patient-friendly pharmacy operations.
