Medical Transcriptionist - Radiology

The Medical Transcriptionist will be responsible for converting voice-recorded medical reports into written documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with medical terminology and hospital standards. The requires excellent listening skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong attention to detail.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Transcribe medical reports, discharge summaries, operative notes, and consultation records from audio recordings.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and completeness of transcribed documents.
• Review and edit transcriptions for grammar, spelling, and medical terminology.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to data protection standards.
• Format documents as per hospital guidelines and documentation standards.
• Coordinate with doctors and medical staff to clarify dictations when required.
• Ensure timely completion of transcription tasks within defined TAT.
• Maintain and organize medical records and transcription files.
• Update and manage electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• entify inconsistencies or errors in dictated reports and rectify them.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle sensitive medical information with high confidentiality.
• Maintain logs and track transcription workload and productivity.
• Support clinical documentation improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with medical terminology and transcription practices.
• Use transcription software and tools efficiently.
